Pre-settled Status

EEA citizens who were resident in the UK before 1 January 2021, and who could demonstrate this, were able to make an application under the EU Settlement Scheme.

Holding settled or pre-settled status enables EEA citizens to continue to live, work and study in the UK. The general closing date for making applications was 30 June 2021.

The Home Office will only consider late applications in certain circumstances.

Please get in touch to have your case evaluated as we may be able to assist if there are mitigating circumstances.

If you wish to join a family member in the UK you can apply for an EU Settlement Scheme Family Permit.

How to apply for Pre-settled Status

The deadline to apply to the scheme was 30th June 2021 – however, late applications may be accepted in certain cases.

Pre-settled status, also known as limited leave to remain, can be converted to Indefinite Leave to Remain after five years.  Qualifying family members are still able to apply such spouses who have come to the UK with EU Settlement Scheme Family Permits.

For Pre-Settled  applications there is a fee of £250 – £500 depending on your financial circumstances and complexity of your case. We will have an honest and transparent conversation with you and charge the fees accordingly.

If you are eligible to apply for pre settled or settled status and have not yet done so we may be able to apply on your behalf for free. Our vulnerability criteria is as follows –

  • Children
  • 67+
  • Diagnosed physical and/or mental health conditions in addition to other vulnerable factors.
  • Domestic abuse survivors
  • Human trafficking survivors.
  • Those who are deemed vulnerable due to financial circumstances and meet our financial eligibility criteria.
  • Those who can evidence vulnerability that is not listed above e.g homelessness.

Please note this is only for those with a valid, outstanding EUSS application and not other immigration routes.

If you are a professional from a supporting organisation we will discuss fees with you.
