We had three simultaneous but separate events for Children by Sophie and Women by Hannah and Men by Jadwiga. We also spoke about volunteering and taking ownership of developing a local Ashton project for the community.

Children explored their personal and cultural identity through the creation of a ‘Tree of Identity’. This involved making leaves with their hand prints, which they decorated with drawings of themselves, their interests, their families and heritage with Sophie.

Hannah was conducting a session to tease out taboo topics, this piece of creation will be displayed at Portland Basin Museum all through March for International Women’s day.

Some feedback from this session were:
– This session encouraged me to be more open to others.
– I found out that I need to appreciate my body more
– The storytelling session helped me to find contact with other, and in particular with Polish people
– During the session “Every Body has a Story” I felt playful, brave, and outgoing.
– The atmosphere of the event was inspiring, warm, and relaxing.

Jadwiga conducted some consolation with men to find out what they would like to
