Europia’s new logo

Europia has always taken pride in being the only organisation that serves all Eastern and Central European Communities. However, since Brexit, the trustees have decided that we should expand our services to all European Expats. To reflect this positive change, we have commissioned a new logo which will hopefully represent all European Expats in Greater Manchester. Going forward Europia will be focusing on two main activities:

Europia support – A holistic support service that provides Advice, Advocacy, Information and Guidance (AAIG), along with Legal Surgeries. We have also launched wellbeing projects including support for over 50 aged European nationals and LGBTQ community members. We will also soon be launching women specific supports services and business support.

Europia Art and Culture – an inclusive project which promotes art and cultural activities to the general public, offer discounted tickets to shows and exhibitions, support for European Expat artists. This will address health and wellbeing issues like social isolation and mental health issues through a creative approach. We will also continue our yearly activities like Europia Awards, International Women’s Day and other community events.

After a six-month consultation period, we now have the final logo ready. Thanks to our very talented and hard working graphic designer Ineta Šimelionytė and the inputs from staff, trustees, volunteers, suppliers, friends, clients and stakeholders we have the final version of the logo below:

The colours of the petals are from EU flags and the shapes are inspired by European folk floral designs – this represents our aim to expand our work into art and cultural activities. The font is professional to represent our advice work and the twelve petals are a symbolic adaptation of the 12 stars in the EU flag.

You will slowly notice the change in our social media and digital platforms. From past experience, we suspect it will take up to three months to completely roll out the new logo digitally. Your patience and support as always are greatly appreciated.
