Volunteers needed to support EU nationals in Greater Manchester

Europia is looking for more volunteers and interns to join the team.

We support EU nationals across the Greater Manchester area, from offering immigration advice to running support sessions in the community. 

In 2020-2021 we were helped by 36 volunteers, five interns and two people on work placements. They were made up of 17 different nationalities, which boosted Europia’s inclusivity offer. 

Volunteer with Europia

Europia’s volunteers have a chance to develop new skills and expand their existing experience of work in a professional environment. 

Volunteers are an important part of the organisation, providing day-to-day support to the charity’s team.

The volunteering roles include interpreting and translations, admin, events organisation and supporting the advice team. 

The aim is for the volunteers to gain new, professional skills, improve their wellbeing and expand their knowledge through supporting the Europia team in their work as well as attending internal and external training.

Our internships

Through Europia’s internship programme, candidates work with the Europia team on a daily basis on our projects. 

The aim is for interns to gain confidence and knowledge needed to take on leadership on different elements of ongoing projects. 

The interns are able to learn skills in, for example: organising and leading meetings, bid writing, external relations (networking) and planning and delivering projects.
