Join our health awareness & celebration event, organised by and for the Roma Community!

Time: From 3.30 PM to 6.30 PM.

Venue: Levenshulme Old Library, Cromwell Grove, #Levenshulme, Manchester, M19 3QE

Our special guests include:
•  Manchester International Roots Orchestra ( MIRO ) Duo
•  Michael Cretu – Double Bass player
•  Holly Marland – Singer and Kora player

Michael Cretu is an amazing Romanian double bass player, performing traditional folk style jazz, that includes classical and gypsy elements. He released a new album in 2021 called The Byzantium Connection (available on #Amazon).

The event will be photographed by Ciara Leeming, a #photographer and former print journalist. She worked with a number of Roma families on a documentary project between 2011 and 2015, producing a book and several exhibitions. She now runs socially engaged creative projects with a range of community groups.
