Europia Emergency Fund (Christmas Fundraising)

For those fortunate enough, the festive period is a time for celebration with loved ones together with a sense of familiarity and tradition. However, for some EU nationals Christmas is not so enjoyable, financial burdens along with feelings of isolation and displacement can often plague, especially for those who have newly arrived in the UK, particularly at this time of the year.

The war in Ukraine, Brexit and the post-pandemic crises have all contributed to an urgent need to ensure families from overseas are supported this Christmas.

Since 2021, Europia Emergency Fund has supported more than 350 families with varying amounts of funding to allow them the dignity to purchase everyday domestic needs such as food, medicine and household products and we need your help to continue allowing access to these necessities.

We have already helped so many families from Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Belgium, Spain and more, and now we are working to donate funds ranging from £30 to £100 to more EU national families in and around the Greater Manchester area into the new year.

When asked about the Europia Emergency Fund, here’s what some of our previous clients had to say:

“Amazing staff and service. Really help my family in this hard time.”

“It doesn’t look like much in terms of money, but I managed to buy a pair of winter shoes for my little daughter when I was absolutely desperate, so it made a huge difference to us”.

“Very good and a simple process.”

“Very nice staff, understanding, compassionate and prompt to react.”

“Europia is an organisation thinking about other citizens – very important.”

Help us give the gift of dignity and comfort this Christmas, and donate to the Europia Emergency Fund here.
