Europia has been working in Tameside since September 2012, our main task has been to target the socially isolated Polish Migrants and other East and Central European Migrants. We have had several community meetings and family events  to help integrate the community and provide information of local services and organisations. Our aim is to be a strong link between hard to reach East and Central Europeans Migrants and connect them with the local services and agencies. We provide advice, guidance and emotional support by our capable Community Development Workers – Gosia J and Alina S, who is also a psychotherapist. In December 2014 Aga J, joined our team to promote the English classes and do community outreach. We currently do not have any staff members based at Ashton but are strongly looking to develop a volunteer group who would steer our activities in the area.

Our next step is to find suitable partners to work with in Tameside and also conduct community consultation to find out the needs of the community and seek funding for new projects.
